When Retirement Became a New Adventure The Next Chapter
People often come to my shows and tell me that I look like I'm having so much fun. The truth is, I really am.
I've always had a special love for jewelry. Everywhere we traveled, Eric always knew that if there was a jewelry store or even a little jewelry stand nearby, that's where he would find me.
When I planned my retirement, I had a completely different plan. I had a long bucket list, and the first thing on it was to travel. We did exactly that. We met so many amazing people, learned about different cultures, and made memories that will stay with us forever.
At some point, though, I realized I wanted to go back to work. I enjoy talking to people. I love meeting new people. I've always been a people person, and I missed that part of my life.
Today I feel truly blessed because I get to work and travel at the same time. I get to do something I genuinely enjoy, and every live show brings new people into my life.
Maybe one day retirement will come knocking on my door again. When it does, I'll decide if I want to let it in. But for now, I'm having way too much fun doing what I love. Looking back, I never imagined retirement would lead me right back to where I belong. At this point, it feels like this journey is just getting started. 💕
